Singing wherever they go
on the banks of the river
they tend to shake,
to shoo a fly,
to dry off.
You see people like this
who have to move their feet.
The whole body gets involved–
big shapes populated by feeling.
Then the wind comes.
I felt a screech.
And the lion scares
the lion away.

I hold it close
there is love repeated
there is memory in this
I go to the dry cleaner
and nature wins
